Coopertown resident Kimberly Lund has been appointed as the Chancellor of a newly established division of the Chancery Court in the 19th Judicial District, covering Montgomery and Robertson counties. Governor Bill Lee announced Lund’s appointment on September 10 with immediate effect, highlighting her extensive legal experience and commitment to serving the community. The appointment runs until the August 2026 General Election, where she will be required to run for the office.
Lund’s impressive career includes roles as Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Children’s Services and Special Agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, with her most recent position as Assistant District Attorney for the 19th Judicial District. As an Assistant District Attorney, Lund was heavily involved in cases involving children, and she has been an advocate for child victims for many years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a juris doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. This new role marks a significant step in her career, as well as a positive development for the local judicial system.
Lund’s diverse background in law enforcement and legal counsel uniquely positions her to bring a well-rounded perspective to the bench.
