The holiday season in Coopertown was made extra special this year with a collaborative effort between the Coopertown Community Development Committee and the Coopertown Elementary School PTO. Together, they organized a heartwarming Breakfast with Santa event at the Coopertown Station of the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department. The event welcomed approximately 50 attendees, creating a festive and family-friendly atmosphere that captured the joy of the Christmas season.

Guests were treated to a delicious pancake breakfast, complete with all the trimmings. Families enjoyed the opportunity to share a meal while soaking in the holiday spirit. The fire station, decked out in festive decorations, served as the perfect venue for the event, providing a cozy and welcoming environment that brought the community together.
The highlight of the morning was the appearance of Santa and Princess Elsa, who delighted children and adults alike. Families lined up to take pictures, creating memories that will last for years to come. Santa’s warm and jolly demeanor brought smiles to everyone in attendance, embodying the spirit of giving and togetherness that defines the holiday season. The children were also able to write letters to Santa as a part of the free event.

This collaborative effort showcased the strong sense of community in Coopertown. By bringing together local organizations, the event not only provided holiday cheer but also strengthened bonds between neighbors. The partnership between the Community Development Committee and the PTO exemplifies what can be achieved when community groups work together for a shared purpose. Coopertown Mayor Jeff Smith and Ward 2 Alderman Candace Rundle also volunteered at the event.

Events like Breakfast with Santa remind us of the importance of coming together to celebrate and support one another. As Coopertown looks forward to the new year, the success of this event serves as an inspiring example of what makes the town such a special place to live—a strong sense of community, a commitment to tradition, and the joy of shared experiences.
